Finally a snack for those of us with a savoury tooth that doesn’t taste disgusting!
This one might be a bit of a cheat as they are more a Japanese or Thai thing than Korean, but I can certainly buy these at the Korean supermarket, so I’m counting them 😛
What are they?
Immature soya beans still in the pod. I buy mine frozen, then boil them in very salty water for ten minutes. Voila! I can sit in front of the TV popping them out of the pod straight into my mouth and eating them.
They taste very similar to our broad beans, with a slightly different aftertaste and are currently my snack food of choice.
