Jeogiyo 저기요

CN blue have heavily influenced how I pronounce excuse me in Korean.

Today’s word of the week is a repeat post from our ‘useful phrases’ so you may have seen it before! It means ‘excuse me’.

I hail from Britain, we use the phrase excuse me a lot, to excuse ourselves, to get someone’s attention and often as a borderline apology.

So:

Excuse me (For mistakes, entering someone’s home or getting someone’s attention)

실례합니다

Shillyeh hamnida

See that hamnida? Nice and polite!

Or:

Excuse me (More like a ‘just one moment’ type of excuse me)

잠시만요

Jam Shi Man Yo

Or you can say:

Excuse me (Getting someone’s attention)

저기요

Jeogiyo

Hallyu Noona
