Hangul rules – The Batchim part 4 (Fortis)

Today’s we will take a look at the second specific bat-chim rule, Fortis.

Fortis

When the consonant in the bat-chim and the next consonant are the same it becomes doubled.

Remember this double applies even if the consonants have the same sound, refer back to when we change the sound of a consonant to another consonants sound!

– When ㄱ, ㄷ or ㅂare the bat-chim and the next consonant the second consonant becomes doubled even if it is not the same as the bat-chim.

I use Koreanclass101.com. Which has videdo lesson for these in their ‘Hana Hana Hangul’ series. It does have free membership but i’m not sure how much access this gives you.

When I get home i’ll look to see what free resources I can find 🙂
